How to Hang Art on Concrete Wall Panels
Concrete wall panels – Before hanging anything on your concrete wall, determine if you have a hollow or solid concrete wall. Use a piece of solid concrete expander and a metal sleeve anchor on hollow concrete. Also, find out how much the art object weighs, and choose anchor that will support its weight. A good rule of thumb is to choose concrete wall anchors that hold 50 percent more weight than you need, so you can be sure that the area will hang properly.
Keep painting on the concrete wall panels, and mark where you want the center of art to hang. Keeps the middle of the eye height painting somewhere around 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches? If people will see the painting mostly from sitting position, hang the painting so that you can show it at eye level when sitting. Measure the distance from the top of the painting to where the thread should hang temporarily, the highest point on the thread. Use this measurement to determine the distance from the mark you made on the wall down the concrete to where the image hook will be placed.
Wear protective goggles, which are important for drilling in hard concrete wall panels. Drill a hole in the selection for the picture hook. Make sure the size of the drill matches the size of the plastic plug for holes. Use a 6 mm drill with a 6 mm plastic plug for regular size paintings. Screw the picture hook into the connector, and then hang your painting.
