Making Leather Wall Panels
Leather wall panels give character and color to a room. Each fabric style can be used in this project, including abstract patterns or printed patterns with images such as toiles. This type of room decoration covers a cool wall with a variety of textures. Use fabrics with red, orange and yellow to add warmth to a room, or blue and green to cool a room. Choose your favorite furniture and use a similar fabric on a wall panel.
Wrap on the leather wall panels around the frame and staple it to the back of the frame with an electric stapler. Attach the fabric to the bottom of the frame with labels. Wrap the sides around the frame and staple them to secure the fabric in place. Fold the corners and staple them against the frame. Raise a picture frame hanger at the center of the frame. Spike the gallows in place and hang the panel on the wall.
Tips and warnings
It’s a simple project to change the fabric on a leather wall panels for a new look. Take the picture frames hanger and staples with a pair of needle-pliers. Cover the frame with a new fabric and adhere it to the frame. Replace the hangers, and your renovated wall panel is ready for suspension. Do not use liquid detergents to clean a cloth-clad wall panel, as this will cause all dust to turn into clay. Keep the panel dusted or remove it from the wall and lightly vacuum it.
