How to Clean Wall Covering Panels
Wall covering panel is a small maintenance wall covering that can provide warmth and beauty in all rooms. But to keep it looking its best, cleaning and care are required. Wood is porous and can be damaged by moisture, but most panels are sealed with a protective layer of paint or polyurethane. This makes it safe to clean the panel without fear of damaging it
Damp wall covering panels thoroughly from top to bottom with a soft dry cloth or brush on a vacuum cleaner. Inspect the forest for all areas where surface is damaged or cracked and repair it with a layer of polyurethane. Allow it to dry properly before proceeding. Fill a bucket of 1 liter of warm water and 1/2 cup of liquid detergent to make a home-made detergent. Add 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil for further shine. Or, follow the instructions on commercial cleaners. Fill a second bucket of plain water.
Dip the sponge into the cleaning solution and twist out of excess water. Wipe the wall covering panels with damp sponge. Work in small parts from bottom to top to counter drip rows. Dip a second sponge into plain water and twist out of excess. Rinse cleaned area. Wipe and polish with a soft dry cloth. Water that stays too long on the surface can cause a white fog formed.
